Cultivating Community: Marsupial’s Impact in Aged Care

At Lourdes Retirement Village, nestled in Sydney’s leafy North Shore, a transformation is being cultivated, driven by a commitment to carefully tend to gardens and genuine connections between residents and our team.

Over a year ago, Marsupial Landscape Management commenced a contract with Stockland at Lourdes Retirement Village, entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining the beautiful established gardens. Yet, our role extends beyond the maintenance, as we nurture a sense of belonging and pride within the community we serve.

“Wherever you turn, you can already see the pride, passion and knowledge our new Head Gardener Jimmy has put into our gardens. What an impact in just a few short weeks.”

These words from a resident received just after starting the contract, capture the essence of our mission and people — dedicated to creating spaces that resonate with residents on a personal level.

At Marsupial, we understand that gardens are more than just landscapes— they are living, breathing sanctuaries that hold stories and memories. In aged care communities, where familiarity and comfort are paramount, our role becomes even more significant. We strive to create environments that evoke a sense of pride, where residents can find joy in their surroundings.

As we continue our partnership with Stockland and the Lourdes Retirement Village community, we remain committed to enriching the lives of residents through meaningful connections and thoughtful stewardship of their grounds. Together, we cultivate not just gardens, but a sense of community and belonging.
