Situated in the City of Canada Bay LGA, McIlwaine Park Foreshore underwent a significant transformation last year through a major upgrade led by Glascott Landscape and Civil.

The project has provided public access to the water for recreational activities, a new beach area, improved overall aesthetics, and environmental restoration both on the land and in the bay.

Marsupial Landscape Management is overseeing the warranty maintenance for the completed project, focusing on establishing new turf, plants, and landscape surrounds, including the beach area. Our scope of work includes regular mowing, watering, weed and pest management, rubbish control, and general asset management to mitigate stock loss and hardscape damage.

The protection of turf and plants involves fertilisation, rectification of any damage, and preparation for increased weekend usage. We plan resource allocation and tasks around high-traffic periods, managing public expectations and ensuring site safety.

In addition to these activities, we provide recommendations to enhance establishment and ongoing maintenance outcomes, implementing strategies to reduce reactive spending on asset deterioration and sub-optimum performance. Detailed site reports offer transparency and evidence that the work aligns with expectations, including proactive hazard identification and environmental measures to minimise harm.

Our ultimate goal is to uphold the site to the highest standards for City of Canada Bay, creating optimal conditions that will extend the life of this open space for the community.
